DataFeedFile - DFF
Over the course of the past year or so, I started using the DataFeedFile service at datafeedfile.com. The service is free unless you pay a fee to remove the shared commission structure. Basically, if you don’t pay, your sales commissions will go to the owners of DFF.
The structure is simple and easy to integrate into any website. I first started using it at Completepoint.com and then branched out a bit to incorporate it into my roanokemerchants.com/drupal site. Sometime near May of 2010, I will change the root of roanokemerchants.com to be the site that presently resides at the /drupal path.
The service is great for price comparison and general searching. DFF can be implemented on virtually any host using ASP, Javascript, PHP, and a few others. I have a Linux host, so I naturally use PHP. There’s even a WordPress (WP) plugin here.
If you’re a merchant and want to sign up with DFF, go here to get started today! Also, if you’re having difficulty figuring out how to implement DFF into your site, please let me know and I will try to assist. It isn’t really difficult, but some of the instructions seem to overlook beginner’s knowledge and skip over integral components to make everything come together.
